Following a series of sold out dates earlier this year, trailblazing artist Halina Rice has today announced her return to HERE at OUTERNET in London on Saturday 7th November.
Rice's live performances are a far cry from the typical club experience. Drawing inspiration from the worlds of contemporary art and experimental music, she creates a captivating audiovisual experience that is both intimate and expansive. Utilising emotive electronic music paired with cutting-edge visual art, Rice immerses audiences in a sonic and visual journey that is both thought-provoking and deeply moving.
Next week will see Rice perform at POLYGON LONDON LIVE 360 AUDIO FESTIVAL on Saturday 3rd May in Crystal Palace Park. This will be the first fully spatialised festival in the UK, using nearly 200 speakers to deliver the music in spatial audio and on a lineup including electronic music luminaries such as Jon Hopkins and Max Cooper. Rice said: “This festival is a fantastic showcase of cutting-edge audio technology, and I'm thrilled to be performing there. It's a continuation of my exciting journey with POLYGON LIVE, having previously performed with them in Thailand before Christmas. This festival promises to be an immersive and unforgettable experience for audiences, and I can't wait to share my music in this unique and innovative format."
Rice has also recently been commissioned by PRS Foundation, Southbank Centre and Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture to compose a new piece of music to be performed at the critically acclaimed, free festival, New Music Biennial. Presented in partnership with BBC Radio 3, Rice will perform a bespoke piece with the BBC Symphony and BBC Concert Orchestras at Bradford St Georges Hall and London’s Southbank Centre this summer. More information here.
Nottingham born, London-based Halina Rice is an artist consistently finding ways to evolve and has established herself as a leading figure in the contemporary electronic scene. Tickets for Halina’s new London show go on sale Wednesday 30th April at 10am, with all other shows available now HERE.
