Twenty-five year old, London-based producer Oscar Farrell releases his debut EP “I’ve Already Called” (released via dh2). Following recent singles “Like You Are For Me” and “Running Free”, the EP serves as a perfect introduction to a young artist who’s truly immersed in the vibrant tapestry of London’s dance music culture.
Across just five tracks, Oscar’s illuminating debut body of work reflects his deep understanding of a variety of club-styles - taking in airy moments of 2-step, grounding basslines and glitchy, chopped vocals (provided by Oscar himself).
To celebrate the EP’s release, Oscar recently threw a sold out party at London’s ‘The Glove That Fits’ alongside George Fitzgerald, that saw him play an epic 5-hour set … a portion has been made available to listen to here.
Having closed 2024 with an incendiary set at Brixton’s Phonox for the second ever dh2 club night (the label he now calls home), Oscar has since DJ’d at New York’s Public Records alongside labelmates George Daniel and Kelly Lee Owens (detailed in this round-table interview on i-D and can be heard in full here). On the day of the EP release, Oscar will once again join George Daniel and Associanu to play in LA in collaboration with Lights Down Low.
